Long Market and Neptune Fountain
Gdańsk · Main Town
This ceremonial street brings together colourful façades, Artus Court and Neptune Fountain. Continue through the Green Gate to the Motława waterfront for a fuller view of historic Gdańsk.
Historic Gdańsk, seaside Sopot and maritime Gdynia. Eight attractions showing three very different sides of the Baltic coast.
Travel with it wherever you go!
The Tricity is one travel destination, but it is not one city. Gdańsk is built around history and architecture, Sopot around its resort atmosphere and seaside walks, while Gdynia has a strong maritime identity and open coastal landscapes.
Our eight suggestions are split between all three cities. Plan by area rather than trying to move constantly between them in a single day.
Pick what interests you. Each place includes a short description, location, source information and a map link.

01
Gdańsk · Main Town
This ceremonial street brings together colourful façades, Artus Court and Neptune Fountain. Continue through the Green Gate to the Motława waterfront for a fuller view of historic Gdańsk.
02
Gdańsk · Long Waterfront
The medieval port crane and city gate is one of the symbols of Gdańsk’s trading history. It is especially striking when viewed from the opposite bank of the Motława.
03
Gdańsk · former shipyard area
Built next to the historic shipyard, the centre tells the story of Solidarity and democratic change. The exhibition deserves an unhurried visit.
04
Gdańsk · Władysław Bartoszewski Square
A major museum presenting the Second World War in a broad European and civilian context. Set aside enough time for the large permanent exhibition.
05
Sopot · Spa Square
The wooden pier reaches far into Gdańsk Bay and gives a different perspective on the beach, resort architecture and marina.
06
Sopot · Bohaterów Monte Cassino Street
Sopot’s main pedestrian street leads towards the sea. The playful, wave-shaped Crooked House is a distinctive architectural stop along the way.
07
Gdynia · South Pier
The white sailing ship is one of maritime Gdynia’s best-known landmarks. A visit on board can be followed by a walk along the waterfront.
08
Gdynia · Orłowo
The steep coastal cliff and nearby beach create one of the Tricity’s most recognisable natural landscapes. Respect all safety signs and keep away from unstable edges.
Choose one main area for each day and build around it rather than rushing back and forth across the Tricity.
Combine Long Market, the Crane and the waterfront. Choose either the European Solidarity Centre or the Museum of the Second World War as the day’s main museum visit.
Walk along Bohaterów Monte Cassino, see the Crooked House and continue towards the pier and beach. Leave time for a relaxed walk by the bay.
Start at Dar Pomorza and the South Pier, then dedicate a separate part of the day to Orłowo and its coastal landscape.
Choose a place to open it in Google Maps. Check the route from your starting point and confirm current opening or entry information before you go.
